1. How can I register with your service?

You should go through the following simple steps to sign in for our service:

Step 0 - User Agreement
    
Please read the agreement thoroughly and press "Accept" button only if you agree with its conditions.

Step 1 - User Creation

Enter your user name (press "Check User Name" to check if a name is available for the registration), full name, password and e-mail. Minimal password length is 4 symbols (only alphanumeric symbols are allowed). Warning: a password which is easy to remember is also very easy to hack, so more complex variations of letters and digits are preferrable. It's important to specify a working e-mail address to which you definitely have an access (you'll receive a special registration confirmation to this address later). Press "Next" to proceed.

Step 2 - Blog Creation

Enter your blog name (it can be any set of words) and choose your blog category. Press "Next" to proceed.

Step 3 - Choose Template

You will be prompted to choose from several predefine template for your blog appearance. Choose one you like and press "Next".

Step 4 - Confirm Registration

You will receive a confirmation e-mail message including further instructions. You need to follow an activation link to confirm your blog registration. Then you can authorize on the RealestateloanS.com main page or go directly to the admin section (http://realestateloans.com/admin.php), configure your blog and start posting.



2. How can I configure my blog settings?

There are the following blog and user parameters you are able to specify (and some of them are important to specify!):

Name - you can change the blog name specified during registration
Description - optional, obviously it's shown in a blog header
Language - please don't change this setting, unless you know exactly what you're doing
Template - you can try different presentation templates for your blog if some are available at the moment
Show in Summary - don't switch off this option unless you really want to hide your blog from the main RealestateloanS.com site

User Settings page of your admin section

Username - cannot be change once registered.
Your Description - please specify a more descriptive profile including your company name, company address, telephone and other info.
Picture - this is your personal picture used in blog presentation and as an avatar. Click "Choose..." and select a picture if you have already uploaded ones. If you don't, upload a new picture: select any album except "Root" (you always have the predefined "General" album) and click "Upload here" link. Then select an image file on you local disk ("Description" is optional) and press "Add". Your new picture is uploaded and you can select it for your blog. Please note that the system will automatically modify proportions of your picture to create a square image if needed.
Remove Picture - To remove an existing picture click "Reset" link.
Other parameters on this page are self-explanatory, see the descriptions.

Note: the blogger's description in "user settings" must be specified in order for the user's picture to appear in the blog. If the "about" information is blank the picture won't show up. There is also a blog settings discription which doesn't kick the picture in.

Post categories and Links categories

You can create any number of Post categories and Link categories (this functionality is available from "Manage" menu) to provide additional navigation for you blog posts and blogroll links respectively.


3. How can I create a new post for my blog?

• Select "Manage -> Manage Posts -> New Post" in your admin section menu.
• Specify the title of the post.
• Enter your post body. You can use WYSIWYG editor to format things or switch to clean HTML by pressing the HTML button on the editor toolbar.
• You can insert a picture or another type of media by clicking on the "Insert media" link.
• To split your post by two parts (announce and full text) click on the "Toggle More... link".
• Select one ot more personal categories for your post or add a new one.
• Select global category for your post.
• Press "Safe draft" if you don't want instant publication of your post. Press "Preview" to see how it will be displayed using your blog template. Press "Blog this!" to save and publish your new post to your blog.
